After much consideration, we eventually decided to purchase Lumapix FotoFusion 4 Extreme to ease the layout of new wedding albums. This is an incredibly powerful, yet easy to use package and reduced the time spent in the layout of albums significantly (think half).
Although it is "extreme"-ly expensive at $300.00 (especially at the current exchange rates), the package pays for itself in the time saved during layout.
Now to find a way to reduce the editing time without loosing the personal touch and critical eye of our main photographer (he he)!!!

How are you liking this several months later? I'm highly contemplating purchasing it for my wedding album creation as it will save me tons of time in design that I normally would have slaved over in photoshop. Was it worth it now that you've had it for a while?

I still love it. I makes a huge difference in the time required to do my layouts. In fact, I rarely open Photoshop nowadays, as I can do 90% of my editing in Lightroom and then do my layouts in Fotofusion.
Both packages are expensive, but well worth the investment. You will recover the investment easily on your time saved.
